Hand building course

Hand building is a pottery technique where clay is shaped using simple tools and your hands, without the use of a potter's wheel.

This is a 4 day course where you'll learn the three fundamental hand building techniques: pinching, coiling, and slab building using a clay called stoneware. Each session focuses on a different technique, allowing you to create a unique pieces.

By the end of the course, you would have created four pieces, which will be glazed, fired, and ready for collection once the firing process is complete. You'll also be introduced to the basics of underglazing to add colour and decoration to your work.

Each session lasts approximately 3 hours.
